We wanted to write and give you a quick update on recent happenings as well as ask for your prayers for the upcoming week.
First, please pray for Dave this coming week as he will be in Saint Paul, MN June 18-24, teaching at a week-long intensive conference called Sahara Challenge. Dave will be teaching 3 sessions about: the Abrahamic sacrifice and how to story through the prophets; Church Planting; and Organizing Local outreach. Pray that the attendees will be open to growing, receptive to content and willing to reach out after the conference as they return home. You can also keep Annette and the 3 kids in prayer as they stay home.
Second, Dave has been spending some time in Dayton visiting the Islamic Society of Greater Dayton. There have been several local Christian men who are interested in beginning a dialogue or relationship with Muslims in Dayton. Pray that Muslims at this facility would be open to conversation and seeking truth and that the men would be able to make Jesus known.
Finally, we would appreciate prayers as we continue to respond to opportunities and invest in people around us. We have several opportunities to come alongside different churches across Cincinnati, as well as in Columbus. There are determined people stepping up asking for help to better understand how to be relevant, how best to engage, and where to connect with other like-minded people. Pray that God would give us wisdom as we consult with these people, that networks would continue to form, and that the response of the church to local needs would continue to pick up momentum.
As usual, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or would like to talk. We appreciate you and the opportunity we have to serve as a result of your prayers.
To close, we wanted to include an invitation to our fall conference. Crescent Project’s National Conference will be held in Columbus, OH November 1-3. If you are curious, would like to come, or would like to consider a church group coming, check it out here.
Blessings,
Dave & Annette
