Our Core Beliefs

I. God

  • We believe in one God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit
  • We believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of all things visible and invisible
  • We believe in Jesus Christ, God's one and only Son, our one and only Savior
  • Who was born Jesus of Nazareth, both fully human and fully divine, conceived of the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary Who suffered and was crucified under Pontius Pilate. Who died and was buried, and Who rose again bodily from the dead on the third day Who ascended into Heaven and now sits at the right hand of the Father and Who will return to earth to judge both the living and the dead.
  • We believe in the Holy Spirit
  • Who is an active and operative part of the triune God, and Who indwells every Christian

II. Scripture

  • We believe in the Bible - God's Holy Word, Scripture.
  • We believe God inspired the original writings and those original writings of the Scripture were consequently without error.
  • We accept the Bible as the final authority for all matters of faith and practice.

III. Mankind

  • We believe that man was wholly created by God
  • We believe that all men have willfully sinned against God.
  • We believe that men are consequently lost and without hope apart from Jesus Christ.

IV. Salvation

  • The forgiveness of sins-peace with God-citizenship in heaven
  • We believe that salvation is only made available to us by God's grace through the blood of Jesus Christ
  • We believe that one receives God's grace by putting faith in Christ, repenting of sin, confessing Christ and being baptized by immersion into Christ, but that none of these is sufficient in and of itself for the assurance of salvation.
  • We Believe that the result of receiving God's grace is the forgiveness of our sins and the gift of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

V. Eternity

  • We believe that God created man to be eternal
  • We believe that those who accept salvation will spend eternity with God in the splendor of Heaven.
  • We believe that all others will spend eternity apart from God, in the torment of Hell.
  • We believe that there will come a day when God will judge all mankind.

VI. The Church

  • The Family of God, the body of Christ, the called out ones
  • We believe that all believers should be a part of a local congregation of believers.
  • We believe that the Elders bear responsibility for shepherding the local congregation.
  • We believe that every person is to be a servant within the local congregation.
  • We practice a weekly remembrance of the Lord's Supper.

Our Core Values

Bible Based-Biblical teaching is at the core of all our beliefs and actions.

Encouragement-God has given us a positive message and we use positive means of motivation and persuasion. We believe in building up, not tearing down.

Evangelism-God loves all people and so do we, therefore we reach out to those who don’t know Him.

Excellence-God is honored by our best.

Grace-God gives us unmerited favor (grace). We teach grace and we treat others with the same grace that God gives us.

Leadership-We believe in developing people to be leaders and then giving them both the responsibility and authority necessary to do what needs to be done.

Participation-We desire for all our members to be involved in at least 1 hour of worship, 1 hour of Bible study, and 1 hour of service every week.

Prayer-Prayer helps us to be close to the heart of God. We desire to seek God’s guidance and wisdom through a variety of prayer experiences.

Relationships-Developing meaningful relationships with those in our body is the way we fulfill Christ's command to love one another. This is central to being a healthy church.

Spiritual Growth-We are called to constantly be maturing and growing as believers in order to become closer to God.

Stewardship-According to Jesus, how we use our resources reveals where our heart is. We, therefore, desire to use all of our resources (money, time, talents, etc.) in a way that is pleasing to Him.

Worship-A major activity of the church is to give God honor and glory. We worship in a variety of ways to provide a meaningful experience to people of all ages and backgrounds.
